How to Unzip a File on Mac?
When it comes to mac unzip file, there is Archive Utility that comes pre-installed on macOS and is able to unzip any standard ZIP files without needing third-party applications. All that needs to be done is to find a ZIP file on the Finder, then double click it. macOS will create a new folder with unzipped files in the place of the original ZIP file. However, if double clicking doesn't work, then ensure that the file has a .zip extension and was downloaded successfully. Moreover, one can right click on the ZIP file, then select Open With > Archive Utility. If the ZIP file is damaged or incomplete, macOS will give an error while trying to extract it. In such case, downloading the archive again or requesting its new version from the sender should help.
